Anne Michel is an investigative journalist for the daily newspaper Le Monde. She first worked on financial issues, regulation and transparency before taking an interest, in the aftermath of the 2008 global financial crisis, in the weight of tax havens in the economy and their responsibility in global financial imbalances. She now works on investigations related to corruption and money laundering. Since 2013, Anne Michel has participated for Le Monde in the main projects of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ): OffshoreLeaks, LuxLeaks, SwissLeaks, Panama Papers, Paradise Papers... Since 2018, she has been a member of Forbidden Stories, an international network of journalists created to pursue the investigations of colleagues who have been murdered or are in danger, all over the world.
